QHSE and Compliance Officer

About The Role

• Monitor all company business activity regarding compliance with QHSE certification requirements and policies
• Provide guidance to staff and management on correct and compliant business procedures
• Plan, organize and execute CSR initiatives of the company in accordance with the yearly planning
• Report to local and regional management on QHSE and CSR activities and KPIs

What You Will Be Doing

Main Duties

• Assisting in the administration and further development of HSE Policy, Manuals, Standards, Procedures, Safe Work Practices, maintaining the ongoing development, implementation, and effectiveness of the company HSE Program
• Preparing QHSE performance data for statistical or trend analysis and report compilations as per department needs or Management review purpose and draw attention to significant trends and occurrences in both hard copy files and electronic archiving systems.
• Assisting/Coordinating and administering safety committee meetings, new employees’ safety orientation programs, safety training and committee meeting programs, QHSE Audit programs etc.
• Preparing data required for completing QHSE Management systems questionnaires enquired by customers, or as required by B.D/Sales department.
• Assisting in investigating all reports of accidents, incidents, near misses and illnesses, and determining their causes and making recommendations for improving prevention and controls and keeping all records.
• Other duties as assigned and required by Management.

Operation

• Assist operational teams in issuing, distributing amp; collecting all QHSE Documentation according to the requirements in place.
• Immediately highlight any business activities that are conduct in unsafe manner or condition.
• Conduct regular internal surveys on condition of operational equipment and report findings
• Assist in conducting field surveys whenever required by business needs.
• Organize and execute CSR amp; Compliance initiatives in accordance with the yearly planning
• Educating and auditing vendors and subcontractors on Bollore code of conduct and QHSE policies

Reporting Activities

• The QHSE and Compliance Officer can request access to any related folders to file all his/her QHSE documents amp; records
• Monthly reporting of local QHSE and CSR activities and KPIs to management
• Assist in regular QHSE certification audits to ensure proper and valid documentation is in place

Requirements

Bachelor Degree from recognized university or relevant qualification IOSH (Institutional of occupational safety amp; health) or NEBOSH qualification will be regarded as a plus

Preferred 2 years of experience handling QHSE topics in a fast paced, dynamic and or multi-cultural MNC environment in Logistics/Freight Forwarding/Customer Broker Agent business environment

Technical Skills

• Microsoft Office,
• QHSE practices and awareness
• Full English language command in writing and speaking
• Organizing documentation file (filing)
• A good knowledge in chemical handling and storage is a must (MSDS understanding as a minimum)
• Internal Auditor for ISO standard
